»We are highly satisfied with the overall project, and the commissioning proceeded seamlessly without any complications.«

While always focusing on solid traditions, innovation and new technology is key to their operation. In the recent years they have been making large investments to improve productivity, becoming one of the most modern planing mills of Norway. In 2024 therefore they invested in two Goldeneye from MiCROTEC. The project has been in cooperation with L.O.A.B.

»We chose the MiCROTEC Goldeneye scanner to enhance crack detection, improve the accuracy of knot type and size, and enable individual scanning of different zones on the raw material. This allows us to determine the optimal turning of raw materials and ultimately increasing yield.«

Strategic location facilitates collaboration and efficiency

The demo and training took place at the MiCROTEC office in Linköping, Sweden, a convenient location for the Norwegian company in terms of logistics and language. The installation began in July, and the scanner was successfully accepted without any remarks by September. The precision of their Goldeneye scanners adds significant value to the production and will continue to optimize the utilization of sawn raw materials and ensure the consistent quality of molded products at Bjaertnes.
